The periscope - 1

This is another feature I wish to add to the R2 dome. In this case I found a really good model on Thingiverse, but I changed something anyway.

The biggest mod respect to the part found on Thingiverse is the top removal. This piece will be glued to a cover, so I see no need to print this also in the periscope. This way the model is also easier to print.

I am still at the very beginning for the periscope, but I already got an acceptable result.

The support is not glued yet, so it's not perpendicular to the base. For the periscope, as for the life scanner, I will have to create a lift system.
The best would be a lift that can be used by both, so I will need to design just one (and print 2 of course).
